Steel Grit is made out of crushing spherical shaped steel shots. After crushing the grains will become angular shaped with sharp edges. The main applications for steel grit are blasting, descaling, etching etc.,
We sell three types of steel grit with grades mentioned as “GP, GL, GH”. These each grade has different levels of hardness and used for different purposes.
Steel Grit GP – It has low hardness ranges from 42 to 55 HRC. Its mainly used for wheel blasting machines. It also cleans quick with little high in maintenance cost and machine parts in foundry industry.
Steel Grit GL – It has average hardness ranges from 55 to 60 HRC. It can be used in both Blast rooms and wheel blasting machines. Its appropriate product for heavy descaling and surface preparation. As it has an average hardness rate it may loose the angular shape when blasting.
Steel Grit GH – It has the highest hardness range from 60 – 64 HRC. It mostly used for quick cleaning in blast rooms. During blasting its shape remains same because of its hardness. Its best suitable for surface etching requirement.
